Most expensive smart speaker Bang & Olufsen $3,000
When you think of a smart speaker you probably think about a Google Home, Google Home mini and Amazon Echo or Echo Dot. But there is more, bigger, with better sound quality and a larger price tag.
The most expensive smart speaker we could find is the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A9. You can take it home for around $3000. It’s a circle shaped speaker and as the design already few years, the internals were recently updated for its fourth generation. And the best part: now there’s a Google Assistant integration, so you can control the ‘satellite dish’ with your voice. Other improvements include a reworked streaming engine, ensuring better results when using Chromecast etc.; improved Wi-Fi connectivity; multi-room platform compatibility with Apple AirPlay 2; and B&O’s Adaptive Room Compensation. For those who love the specs of the A9 MK4: it delivers 1,500 watts via 7 drivers, with a frequency response of 33 – 23,000 Hz. And then the sizes: Diameter x height x footprint = 70.1 x 90.8 x 41.5 cm (that’s 27.6 x 35.8 x 16.3 in).
If you are not a fan of large circle speakers you can always go for the Beosound 2. It is a bit cheaper ($2250) and the shape is more like a traditional speaker.
